Wendy's home church is Lovers Lane UMC - Dallas in the Metro East District. Her local unit is the Bold Women of Lovers Lane. Prior to serving as President of the Horizon Texas Conference UWFaith she was the President of the North Texas Conference (NTC) of UWFaith in 2023-2024. Years ago she was the NTC Communications Coordinator, and before that, the Membership Nurture & Outreach Coordinator and Dean of 2003 School of Christian Mission. She also served as the Dallas-Denton District Vice-President and President of her local unit.
As President of HTC UWFaith she also serves on the Boards of:
- Dallas Bethlehem Center - a national mission institution (NMI) in South Dallas
- Wesley-Rankin Community Center - a national mission institution (NMI) in West Dallas
- Jerri Savuto Center for Girls in rural Kenya
- Texas Legislative Event Planning Team
- Board of Laity for the Horizon Texas Conference United Methodist Church
Brenda’s home church is St. James UMC in Abilene, part of the Northwest District. She has served in officer positions on the local, district and conference levels of UWF, served as local arrangements officer in 2012 for the South Central Jurisdiction meeting in Abilene, and served 6 years as PAG (Program Advisory Group) at the National level UWF. She volunteers as secretary of MURF (McMurry University Retirees Fellowship) where she was employed as Director of Student Accounts and also serves in community and church positions.
Vanessa's home church is St. Paul UMC in downtown Dallas, part of the Metro East District. She also served as Secretary for the North Texas Conference UWFaith.
Stachia's home church is First United Methodist Church Richardson in the Metro East District. Her local unit is FUMCR UWF, where she has served as the Local Treasurer since 2022.
Becca's home church is China Springs UMC in China Springs, TX.
Veronica's home church is New Riverside UMC - Ft. Worth, which is part of the Metro West District. She has been President of her local unit, served in the CTC East District as Spiritual Growth and also as Membership Nurture & Outreach (MNO) Coordinator.
Deb Hughey's home church is First UMC in Denton, TX in the Metro North District. As the Social Action Coordinator she also serves on the Care and Healing Committee for the Horizon Texas Conference United Methodist Church.
Deb also leads the Church & Society Board at her church.
Karen's home church is FUMC Fort Worth UMC, in the Metro West District. She has served as unit president and currently serves as the Spiritual Growth/Soul Care Coordinator there as well as for the Conference. She has served as Spiritual Growth/Soul Care Coordinator for the old Central Conference East District.
Caye's home church is FUMC - Arlington. She is a past president of the unit at FUMC Mansfield, and past Resource Coordinator of the Central Texas Conference UWFaith.
Becky is part of the Bold Women of Lovers Lane. Her home church is Walnut Hill Church, a Campus Ministry of Lovers Lane UMC in the Metro East District. She has also been the Communications Coordinator for the NTC Metro District. Before the Horizon Texas Conference, she handled Special Projects for the North Texas Conference UWFaith.
Yolanda's home church is St. Luke's UMC in Midland, part of the Northwest District. Yolanda is in the CON Class of 2025 and currently serving as Chair of the Committee. You may submit a Nominations form online here.
Yolanda has also been Vice President of the Central District, Rio Grande Conference, and President for the Las Misiones District, Rio Texas Conference 2019-2022. Secretary for Financial Interpretation, Rio Grande United Methodist Women and Dean School of Missions, Rio Texas Conference.
Lynne's home church is First UMC - Red Oak in the Mid-South district. She has served as the Central Texas Conference President and on the UWFaith South Central Jurisdiction Team, 2020-2024. She was elected to be a Director on the National UWFaith Board with a term of 2025 - 2028.
Lynne also represents the Mid-South District on the Conference Team.
Cynthia was elected as a national UWFaith Director for the 2025-2028 term.
Cynthia's home church is Hamilton Park UMC - Dallas in the Metro East District. She has served as President of her local group, and was Membership Nurture & Outreach on the NTC Metro District. She has also served on the North TX Conference Committee on Nominations as Chair, and on the Committee on Nominations for the South Central Jurisdiction Team, 2020-2024. Cynthia is also a Certified Lay Servant.
Carolyn attends Tulia Methodist Church; her unit is Tulia United Women in Faith. Carolyn lives in the Northwest District and has held numerous positions at the district and conference level, serving most recently as President of the former Northwest Texas Conference UWFaith. Carolyn is currently pleased to serve as a National Program Advisory Group Member who helps connect the Horizon Texas Conference and the National office of United Women in Faith.
Lela is the 2025-2028 Treasurer for the South Central Jurisdiction of the United Women in Faith. Her home church is First Richardson UMC. She is also active in the Auxiliary of the Methodist Medical Center - Dallas, and is now on the Board of the Golden Cross of Methodist Medical Center - Dallas.
