Welcome Home: Charter for Racial Justice Event was held on February 22, 2025 at the New Riverside UMC in Fort Worth. It was the first event of Horizon Texas Conference UWFaith. It was big, powerful and well attended. 152 people came in person and 70 watched the livestream of the Racial Justice Event! People drove hours to be there - from Midland, Lubbock, Denton, Georgetown, Dallas, Abilene, Salado, and Prosper. It was wonderful to be together.
Send your photos and we'll add them to the RJ Event photo album.
The Charter for Racial Justice is a crucial document developed by this organization decades ago - in the 1950's, before the Civil Rights era. It was created to address and combat racism within the church and society. The charter emphasizes the belief that all people are God’s children and that racism is a rejection of Jesus Christ’s teachings.
